Meet in the Library’s Coal Mine Meeting Room at 2:30 PM on the first Thursday of each month (except January and February) for a lively discussion.

No time to attend an evening or weekend program? Try our Snacks & Facts series. We’ll have a speaker the first Friday of each month (except December and July). Come ready to learn, and we’ll provide the snacks!

Pick up an activity pack that includes book suggestions and an early learning activity to complete at home! Available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

For kids 2-5 years old with adult supervision.

For infants 0-17 mo. and their caregivers.

Registration is required. Please register for a seat for each infant attending.

Students are invited to participate on the Library’s Teen Advisory Board (TAB).

Put on your PJs and come to the Library for around 25 minutes of interactive bedtime songs, stories, and fun.

Caring for someone with dementia often means walking the line between supporting their independence and protecting their safety.

Each month explore a fascinating true story, followed by an extended learning activity. Kids don’t need to read the book in advance. Caregivers aren’t required to stay in the room for this program. This month's book is "Pizza!

Do you have a little one who loves big trucks? Bring them to the Library to enjoy several truck themed songs and stories, followed by a chance to touch a few giant machines from Waukee Public Works.

Come and make a craft that is suitable for everyone! We will all start with the same supplies and idea, but everyone’s creations will be unique. This month brighten your day with beautiful tissue paper flowers!

Bring a friend or make new ones at these programs for teens. Try your hand at a different activity each month. This month, we will be doing Teen Self Defense.
