Come and make a craft that is suitable for everyone! We will all start with the same supplies and idea, but everyone’s creations will be unique. This month we will be making Wicked wands.

The Waukee Public Library Board is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees. The trustees are appointed by the Mayor for a three-year term, limited to two consecutive terms. Residency in Waukee city limits is required for appointment.

We’re taking more photos than ever. With just a tap, we capture memories, moments, and everything in between. But what happens next? Too often, those photos stay trapped on our phones or hard drives, never getting the spotlight they deserve.

Give old pages new life! In this hands-on workshop, we’ll transform recycled book pages into beautiful paper wreaths.

Bring your friends and family and join us to listen and learn about world cultures!  A different cultural ambassador will present each month. Cookies will be served.

Do you enjoy social games but need a group to play with? Join us for games of bluffing, scheming, and spotting the traitor, such as One Night Werewolf, Codenames, and The Resistance. Bring a friend or come solo… if you dare.

A fun take-home project available for pick up the first week of each month. Packs come with most of the needed supplies to complete the activity. This month participants will make penguin engravings. 

The city of Waukee does a wonderful job funding our Waukee Public Library but when the community wants more, unexpected needs arise, or when innovations in library systems require more capital than is available, the Friends Foundation helps. 

Do you want to practice speaking English? Come talk with other adults in a small group. This is not a class. It is a time to speak, listen, and learn together.
