Christine Hilbert – “Lean Into the Light”

Meet in the Library’s Coal Mine Meeting Room at 2:30 PM on the first Thursday of each month (except January and February) for a lively discussion.

No time to attend an evening or weekend program? Try our Snacks & Facts series. We’ll have a speaker the first Friday of each month (except December and July). Come ready to learn, and we’ll provide the snacks!

Caring for someone with dementia often means walking the line between supporting their independence and protecting their safety.

Come and make a craft that is suitable for everyone! We will all start with the same supplies and idea, but everyone’s creations will be unique. This month brighten your day with beautiful tissue paper flowers!

Do you love the look of special edition books and their gorgeous pages? At this program, we’ll learn some simple techniques for creating your own edge artwork! Weather permitting, this event will be held outside.

Bring your friends and family and join us to listen and learn about world cultures!  A different cultural ambassador will present each month.

Do you enjoy social games but need a group to play with? Join us for a night of board games! Bring a friend or come solo.

For adults ages 18+.

A fun take-home project available for pick up the first week of each month. Packs come with most of the needed supplies to complete the activity. This month participants will make fairy lanterns.

Bring your baby and get ready to groove! We’ll practice basic dance moves suitable for holding or wearing baby, then bop along to some upbeat tunes.

The Waukee Elementary Photography Club includes students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade who have a passion for capturing moments special to them as well as in the community.

Decorate deliciously! Practice simple frosting techniques and get creative with donut design. Please note, allergens may be present.
