People began moving into Iowa over 13,000 years ago at the end of the last “ice age”. This was a time of giant land mammals, ice, and extremely cold temperatures. Learn about what Iowa was like when mammoths roamed and how people adapted to these conditions with a guest speaker from the University of Iowa Office of the State Archaeologist (OSA).
